About PTTI

Siksha Charcha has a rich heritage for having its founder Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. The Nobel laureate poet founded Siksha Charcha Bhavana on 16th April in 1937 under the supervision of Institute of Rural Reconstruction, Sriniketan. Initially it was named as ‘Guru Training School’. His main objective for establishing such an institution was to train resourceful teachers for the development of primary education in Bengal.
